Clan Stewart or Clan Stuart is a Highland Scottish clan is recognised by Court of the Lord Lyon, however it does not have a clan chief recognised by the Lord e the clan has no chief it can be considered an armigerous are several other ‘Stewart’ clans recognised by the Court of the Lord Lyon, these are: Clan Stuart of Bute and Clan Stewart of Appin. Robert Stewart, Duke of Albany, and Sir John Stewart, Sheriff of Bute are both brothers of King Robert III. This means that ZZ52 must have occurred in Robert III or one of his male line descendants. In other words, ZZ52 is a distinct marker identifying descendants of Robert III.
